Ilse Riedler and Andi Menrath perform impromptu music. Nothing is planned, discussed or rehearsed. The moment, the space and the audience play an influencing role, wich can only be perceived by the protagonists themselves directly during the musical performance.

Ilse Riedler

works as a freelance musician and composer (saxophone, clarinet, bass clarinet, flute) in the fields of jazz, pop and theatre music. After graduating in jazz saxophone at the Bruckner University in Linz, she completed a study visit to New York. She taught at the Vienna University of Music as a substitute for Prof. Wolfgang Puschnig, is a teacher with the 'Jugendjazzorchester Niederösterreich' and currently teaches at the Pop Academy in Vienna.

Since 1979:

Concerts, tours, airplay, recordings, cross-genre performances, 5-year jazz percussion studies at the Konservatorium der Stadt Wien with Prof. Erich Bachträgl, worked with Iréne Schweizer, Damon Smith, Mark Dresser, John Edwards, Elisabeth Harnik, Burton Greene, Simone Weissenfels, Joe Williamson, Jerzy Mazzoll, Isabell Duthoit, Phil Durrant, Yedda Lin, Melissa Coleman, Marco Eneidi, Achim Tang, Peter Legat, Birgit Denk, Sayuri Kato and many others, Composer and bandleader of the Developing Life project.

Ilse Riedler und Andi Menrath performen Musik aus dem Stegreif. Nichts ist geplant, besprochen oder geprobt. Der Moment, der Raum und das Publikum spielen eine beeinflussende Rolle, die nur von den Protagonisten selbst direkt während der musikalischen Aufführung wahrgenommen werden kann.

Ilse Riedler ist als freischaffende Musikerin und Komponistin (Saxophon, Klarinette, Bassklarinette, Flöte) in den Bereichen Jazz, Pop- und Theatermusik tätig. Nach Abschluss der Studienrichtung Jazz-Saxophon an der Bruckner Universität in Linz absolvierte sie einen Studienaufenthalt in New York. Sie unterrichtete an der Musikuniversität Wien als Vertretung für Prof. Wolfgang Puschnig, ist Dozentin beim ‚Jugendjazzorchester Niederösterreich‘ und lehrt derzeit an der Popakademie in Wien.
